Real Estate Procurement Expert to Advise on Cost Optimization Strategies

A Big4 Consulting Firm
CONSULTANT:
A Civil Engineer with extensive experience ranging from Structural Designs, Construction, Project management, Design management, Contracts and Procurement relating to Luxury hotels, Shopping malls, High rise residential/ commercial premises and Infrastructure works covering railways and highways, Power stations, Water and Sewage treatment.
ASSIGNMENT:
The client was seeking an Expert with prior experience of Procurement in Real Estate Development (Residential and Commercial projects) to help them in identifying potential cost reduction/ cost optimization measures. The Real Estate experience should be preferably of Mumbai region with established players (e.g., Lodha, Oberoi, Kanakia, Raheja, etc.). Target areas included MEP packages, Doors, Windows, Paintings, Flooring, Railings. They needed assistance with Contract Structuring, Sourcing Models, Category understanding, Supplier landscape and Value Engineering.
OUTCOME:
The consultant's inputs helped the client in identifying potential cost reduction/ cost optimization measures for their end client.
