Leadership Assessment for Categories & Retail Leaders at a Leading Airport Infrastructure Organization

Sales leader with 30+ years of experience at Nestlé across category management, route-to-market, and channel strategy. He served as Channel Head – Large & Small Stores at Nestlé, Gurgaon, where he drove traditional retail growth in an evolving omni-channel ecosystem through channel investments and in-store execution. Previously, as Category Development Manager (Coffees) at Nestlé, Gurgaon, he led integrated commercial planning for the Nescafé portfolio, driving category growth, penetration, and market share.
ASSIGNMENT:
The client was looking for an independent technical assessor to evaluate four senior management leaders as part of a strategic leadership and succession planning program for its Categories & Retail function. The engagement involved conducting in-person 1:1 technical and leadership assessments aligned with predefined role requirements and evaluation criteria shared by the program team.
The assessor independently evaluated each leader on strategic thinking, operational and functional expertise, stakeholder management, leadership capability, decision-making, and readiness to manage large-scale business responsibilities in a dynamic infrastructure environment.
Following the assessments, the assessor participated in calibration discussions with the broader program team and other assessors to ensure consistency, objectivity, and alignment in the evaluation process. The engagement also included preparing structured assessment summaries and development recommendations for each participant to support leadership decision-making and future talent development initiatives.
