Finance Transformation & Change Management Consultant for a Global Shipping & Logistics Organization

Shipping & Logistics Company supported through a leading Big4 consulting firm
CONSULTANT:
A seasoned Finance Transformation and Change Management consultant with expertise in business transformation, process optimization, Finance & Accounting Operations (FAO). The consultant brings a strong track record in project management, shared services setup, process consulting, stakeholder management, and driving transformation initiatives across complex organizations.
ASSIGNMENT:
The client engaged the consultant to lead change management activities across Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) workstreams as part of a broader finance transformation program. The consultant was responsible for developing and executing the change management plan, prioritising communication activities, and ensuring alignment with the practice and project leadership.

The engagement involved reviewing and driving change communications for external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, while monitoring adoption and reporting progress to management. The consultant also coordinated key change enablement activities including training, assessments, refresher training, and regular touchpoints with CFO and finance teams.

Additional responsibilities included managing strategic communications through digital channels and forums, tracking project milestones and client sign-offs, maintaining regular reporting with project and client stakeholders, and developing a knowledge repository capturing best practices, frameworks, learnings, and transformation assets.
OUTCOME:
The engagement supported structured adoption of finance transformation initiatives across P2P and O2C by establishing a systematic change management framework, strengthening stakeholder communication, and enabling timely delivery of training and change interventions. The knowledge repository and documented best practices also created reusable assets to support ongoing transformation and future change initiatives.
